Things to expect
Initially within the first few weeks of having a tattoo, things you may expect are:
Localised swelling/redness
Localised pain/tenderness
Your Tattoo being itchy (A gentle slap can help with this, DO NOT scratch your tattoo)
You may experience all or just some of these things, but all are natural parts of the healing process!

If you have been given Aftercare with

Let the tattoo air dry or dab dry with a clean towel or tissue
Apply a light layer of the Butterluxe Tattoo Cream
Apply a clean pad and tape down.
Repeat once in the morning, and once in the evening until you run out.
Once you have run out of pads simply clean your tattoo twice a day with the Butterluxe Tattoo Soap
and apply a light layer of Butterluxe cream.
Second Skin
It is important to keep your tattoo clean throughout the healing process.
If you have been given Aftercare with
Second Skin this is how you will
look after your tattoo.
A layer of Second Skin will be applied to your Tattoo before you leave.
The Second Skin will stay on your brand new tattoo for 5-7 days.
You will be given a spare piece of Second Skin, encase the first piece comes of a little early, and a new piece needs re applying.
If you need to apply a new piece
Clean and dry the tattooed area.
Peel off protective paper and apply the film to skin. Ensure the film is pressed down all over.
Peel back the removable layer taking care not to remove the film underneath.
Once the Second Skin is ready to come off, remove from the tattoo carefully, and then clean your tattoo with Luke warm water.
Once dry, you can apply a thin layer of Butterluxe Tattoo Cream, you can apply this 2-3 times day, to keep the tattoo nicely moisturised, until it is fully healed.
Removal
To remove the film, gently lift the corners and peel away!
If the film has a good grip, you can use warm soapy water to help.
PRO TIP
If any sticky Residue is left over from the Second Skin, you can use Baby Oil to get it off!
